About us
Walt Philipp, owner and president of Integral Design & Construction, received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the School of Architecture and Fine Arts at the University of Southern California in 1974. That same year he accepted a position with a Ventura County general contracting company preparing plans and assisting the contractor with various job related tasks. Three years later he chose to establish his own company, Integral Design, Inc. Walt’s previous experience and interest in the construction field shaped his decision to study for and obtain a State of California General Contractor’s License in 1982.
During the past 36 years Walt has compiled an extensive portfolio of custom home projects in the coastal communities of Malibu, Silverstrand and Hollywood Beach, Oxnard Shores, the Ventura Keys, Pierpont Beach, and the Solimar/Rincon Beach communities. He has also designed or built homes in Ojai, Rancho Matilija, Ventura and Santa Paula hillsides, and Camarillo’s Spanish Hills.
Walt attributes his success to key issues in the construction business: his ability to develop construction drawings and plans that are accurate and complete; credentials in both the design and the construction field; his close-working relationship with his engineers and his subcontractors; his attention to details; and his trusted and reliable relationships with his clients. Together these qualities have helped Walt to become a well-respected and knowledgeable expert in the design and construction field in Ventura County.
